Clinical Background
I qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s medical school in 2000. I hold membership of both the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Physicians, along with diplomas in Sports Medicine and Child Health.
My work spans several areas. I run community gastroenterology clinics for Kingston Hospital, which means I regularly assess and manage digestive conditions that many GPs would refer onwards. At Basuto, patients benefit from this specialist knowledge without needing a hospital referral.
I also lead CCG pathology services in Wandsworth, giving me deep insight into laboratory testing, result interpretation and cost-effective investigation pathways. When I order blood tests, I know exactly what to request and what the results mean in context.
Outside of general practice, I serve as the school doctor for rugby at St Paul’s School for Boys, combining my sports medicine background with my paediatric expertise. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages at Basuto and thrive on the variety that general practice offers.
