Dr James Pozzi
MB BS
James qualified at the University of Queensland Medical School, Australia in 1992. He undertook basic surgical and then general practice training before moving to the UK in 1997 to work in general practice.
He is experienced in all areas of general practice and his special interests include paediatrics, ENT and psychiatry.
Dr Nora Al-Saraf
MB BS MRCGP
Nora qualified from the Royal Free and University College London medical school in 2006. She went on to do her postgraduate GP training at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, and has since gained a wealth of experience working as a GP in the UK and for two years in Canada.
She has trained in functional medicine and takes a holistic approach to patient care. Her special interests include women’s and sexual health, paediatrics and nutrition.
Dr Nikki Peacock
BMedSci (Hons) BMBS MRCGP DRCOG
Nikki qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2011. She then gained experience in a number of hospital specialities including Emergency Medicine, Care of the Elderly, Paediatrics and Dermatology, before completing GP training in Greenwich and Clapham.
Nikki’s special interests include child health and women’s health, and she holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She regularly works at a GP practice in High Street Kensington in addition to Basuto Medical Centre.
Dr Fhorkan Uddin
MRCGP, MRCP, MBBS
Fhorkan qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s medical school in 2000 and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and Physicians. He holds diplomas in Sports Medicine and Child Health.
Aside from his surgery duties, his roles include school doctor for rugby at St Paul’s School for Boys, provision of Gastroenterology community clinics for Kingston Hospital, and lead CCG pathology services in Wandsworth.
Dr Laura Mindel
MBBS BSc (Hons) DRCOG MRCGP
Laura qualified at University College London in 2008 and completed her GP training at St George’s Hospital in 2016. Laura has developed a special interest in Women’s Health and Medical Education.
In addition to clinical work, she teaches medical students from St George’s Hospital and works as an NHS Appraiser.

Qualified and accredited psychologist specialising in anxiety, depression, trauma, addictive disorders, and ADHD. Trained in EMDR to an advanced level. Extensive experience in both outpatient and residential settings.
Caroline Davies — DipNT mBANT CNHC
Nutritional Therapist who graduated with distinction from the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Specialises in women’s health and hormones, and chronic gastrointestinal, inflammatory and autoimmune support.
Susanna Scouller — Alexander Technique Teacher
Qualified in London in 2007 and has been seeing clients at Basuto ever since. Regularly referred to by doctors for her skill at diagnosing the link between postural and movement habits and health.
Dr Amy Vowler — MBBS RCGP BSc (Hons)
GP and hair restoration specialist with over a decade of experience. Founder and Medical Director of The Hair GP. Affiliate member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS).

Andrea Kresojevi — Practice Manager
Andrea previously worked at Basuto Medical Centre for 15 years before returning as Practice Manager. With over 20 years’ experience in healthcare, she is well-versed in the demands and expectations of private patients in both primary and secondary care.
Andrea ensures the everyday running of the surgery is efficient with the highest standard of patient care. She is your first point of contact for any practice-related queries.

Can I choose which clinician I see?
Yes. You can request a specific GP when booking. For mental health support, request Nick Kypriotis. For nutritional therapy, request Caroline Davies. We encourage continuity with the same clinician.
How many GPs are there at Basuto?
We have five GPs: Dr James Pozzi, Dr Nora Al-Saraf, Dr Nikki Peacock, Dr Fhorkan Uddin, and Dr Laura Mindel. All are GMC-registered and members of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
What is EMDR therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy particularly effective for trauma and PTSD. Nick Kypriotis is fully trained and experienced in this modality.
Is the practice CQC regulated?
Yes. CQC Registration: 1-10727920. We are regularly inspected and meet the same regulatory standards as NHS GP practices.
