I qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in London in 2007 and have been seeing clients at Basuto Medical Centre ever since. The doctors here regularly refer patients to me — particularly those with chronic pain, stress-related tension, and postural problems that are not responding to conventional treatment alone.

The Alexander Technique is not a therapy that is done to you. It is a practical method for learning how your habits of posture and movement may be contributing to your pain, tension, or health issues — and how to change them.

Many of my clients come to me after years of physiotherapy, osteopathy, or medication for chronic back pain, neck pain, or headaches. The Alexander Technique works differently — it addresses the underlying patterns that cause these problems to recur.

I also work with performers, musicians, and professionals whose work puts physical demands on their body. The technique is widely taught at music and drama schools for its effectiveness in reducing performance-related strain and improving presence.
